1.         .A sense of authority

4:31-32

Capernaum with authority

with authority was the word of him

7:1-10

Capernaum, centurion/authority

I tell this one to go and he goes

4:31 And he went to Capernaum a city of Galilee and he was teaching them on the Sabb- ath's; 32 and they were astounded at the teaching of him, because with authority was the word of him.

7:1 When he completed all the words of him in the ears of the people he entered into Capernaum . 2. Now of a centurion certain a slave ill having being was about to die who was to him dear. 3 And hearing about Jesus he sent to him elders of the Jews, asking him that coming he might recover the slave of him. 4 And they coming to Jesus besought him earnestly saying. Worthy he is for whom thou shouldest grant this; 5 for he loves the nation of us and the synagogue he built for us. 6 And Jesus went with them. And yet him not far being away from the house sent friends the centurion saying to him: Lord do not trouble: for not worthy am I that enter the roof of me thou shouldest enter: 7 wherefore not myself I account worthy to thee to come: but say in a word, and let be cured the servant of me. 8 also For I a man am under authority being set, having under myself soldiers and I tell this one: Go, and he goes, and another: Come and he comes, and the slave of me: Do this, and he does. 9 And hearing these words Jesus marvelled at him and turning to the following him crowd said: I tell you, not in Israel such faith I found. 10 And returning to the house the ones sent found the slave well.

2.         Compassionate Power

4:33-37

Synagogue (in city) demons

"came astonishment on all"

7:11-35

City Nain - widow & son

"took fear all"

4:33 And in the synagogue (of the city)  there was a man having a spirit demon of an unclean, and he shouted voice with a great. 34 Ah what to us and to thee, Jesus Nazarene? Camest thou to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the holy one of God. 35 And rebuked him Jesus saying: Be muzzled and come out from him. And throwing him the demon in the midst came out from him nothing injuring him. 36 And came astonishment on all, and they spoke to one another saying: What is word this: because with authority and power he commands the unclean spirits and they come out? 37 And went forth a rumour concerning him into every place of the neighbourhood.

7:11 And it came to pass on the next day he went into a city being called Nain and went with him the disciples of him and crowd, a much, 12 And as he drew near to the gate of the city, and behold was being carried out having died an only born son to the mother of him, and this was a widow and a crowd of the city considerable was with her. 13 And seeing her the Lord felt compassion over her and said to her: Do not weep. 14 And approaching he touched the bier; and the ones bearing stood, and he said: Young man to thee I say. Arise. 15 And sat up the dead man and began to speak and he gave him to the mother of him. 16 And took fear all, and they glorified God saying prophet a great was raised among us, and visited God the people of him. 17 And went forth word this in all Judea concerning him and all the neighbourhood. 18 And reported to John the disciples of him about all these things. And calling to him two a certain of the disciples of him John sent to the Lord saying: Thou art the coming one or another may we expect? 20 And coming to him the men said: John the Baptist sent to us to thee saying: Thou art the coming one or another may we expect? 21 In the hour he healed many from diseases and plagues and spirits evil and blind persons to many he gave to see. 22 And answering he said to them: Going report to John the things which ye saw and heard: blind men see again, lame can walk, lepers are being cleansed, and deaf men hear; dead men are raised, poor people are evangelised 23 and blessed is whoever is not offended in me. 24 and going away the messengers of John went away he began to say to the crowds concerning John: What went ye forth into the desert to see? a reed by wind being shaken? 25 But what went ye forth to see? a man in soft garments having been clothed? behold the ones in raiment splendid and in luxury being in royal palaces are. 26 But what went ye forth to see? a prophet? yes I tell you, and more than a prophet. 27 This is he concerning whom it has been written: Behold I send the messenger of me before the face of thee, who will prepare the way of thee before thee. 28 I tell you, greater among those born of women than John no one is: but the less in the kingdom of God greater than he is. 29 And all the people hearing and the tax-collectors justified God, being baptised with the baptism of John. 30 but the Pharisees and the lawyers this counsel of God rejected for themselves not being baptised by him. 31 To what then may I liken the men generation of this, and to what are they like? 32 Like are they to children in a marketplace sitting and calling to one another who says: We piped to you and ye did not dance: we mourned and ye did not weep. 33 For has come John the Baptist not eating bread nor drinking wind and ye say: a demon he has. 34 Has come the So of man eating and drinking, and ye say: Behold a man a glutton and a winebibber, a friend of tax-collectors and of sinners. 35 And was justified wisdom from all the children of her.

3.         Bodily care

4:38-41

House of Simon.-

 mother -in-law . .
"
rebuked the fever / demons"

7:36-50

House Simon Pharisee -

ointment woman
"rebukes. head of me thou didst not anoint"

4:38 And rising up from the synagogue he entered into the house of Simon. And the mother-in-law of Simon was being seized fever with a great, and they ask him about her. 39 And standing over he rebuked the fever and it left her: and at once rising up she served them. 40 And setting the sun all as many as had ailing ones diseases with various brought them to him; and he one on each of them the (his) hands putting on healed them. 41 came out And also demons from many, crying out and saying. Thou art the Son of God. And rebuking he allowed not them to speak, because they knew the Christ him to be.

7:36 And asked a certain him of the Pharisees that he would eat with him, and entering into the house of the Pharisee he reclined. 37 And behold a woman who was in the city a sinner, and knowing that he reclines in the house of the Pharisee, 38 and bringing an alabaster box of ointment and standing behind at the feet of him weeping, with the (her) tears began to wet the feet of him and with the hairs of the head of her wiped off and fervently kissed the feet of him and anointed with the ointment. 39 But seeing the Pharisee having invited him spoke within himself saying: This man if he was the prophet would have known who and what sort the woman who is touching him because a sinner she is. 40 And answering Jesus said to him: Simon I have to thee something to say. and he: Teacher say, says. 41 Two debtors were creditor to a certain the one owed denarii five hundred, and the other fifty. 42 Not having them to repay both he freely forgave, Who then of them more will love him? 43 answering Simon said. I suppose to whom the more he freely forgave And he said to him: Rightly thou didst judge. And turning to the woman to Simon he said: Seest thou this woman? I entered of thee into the house, water to me on for my feet thou gavest not: but this woman with the her tears wet of me the feet and with the hairs of her wiped off. 45 A kiss to me thou gavest not; but this woman from the time I entered ceased not fervently kissing of me the feet. 46 With oil the head of me thou didst not anoint but this woman with ointment anointed the feet of me. 47 Of which for the sake of I tell thee have been forgiven the sins of her many because she loved much; but to whom little is forgiven, little he loves. 48 And he said to her: Have been forgiven of thee the sins. 49 And began the ones reclining with him to say among themselves: Who this is, who even sins forgives? 50 But he said to the woman: The faith of thee has saved thee: go in peace.
