9. Bears fruit
|
13:1-9
|
The one with ears
let him hear
|
|
13:1
On the day that going out of Jesus of the house sat beside the sea 2
and were assembled to him crowds many, so as him in a ship embarking to
sit, and all the crowd on the beach stood. 3 And he spoke to them many
things in parables saying; Behold went out the one sowing to sow 4 And in
the to sow him some indeed fell beside the way and coming the birds
devoured them. 5 But others fell on the rocky places where not it had
|
earth
much, and immediately it sprang up on account of not to have depth of
earth; 6 the sun But having risen it was scorched, and on account of the
not to have root it was dried up. 7 But others fell on the thorns, and came
up the thorns and choked them. 8 And others fell on the earth the good and
gave fruit, the one a hundred, the other sixty, the other thirty. 9 The one
having ears let him hear.
|
|
13:10
And (then) approaching the
disciples said to him: Why in parables speakest thou to them? 11 And he
answering said: Because to you it has been given to know the mysteries of
the kingdom of the heavens, but to those it has not been given. 12 He who
for has, it will be given to him and he will have abundance; but he who has
not, even what he has will be taken from him. 13 Therefore in parables to
them I speak, because seeing they see not and hearing they hear not neither
understand. 14 And is fulfilled in them the prophecy of Isaiah saying:In
hearing ye will hear and by no means understand and seeing ye will see and by
no means perceive. 15 For waxed gross the heart people of this, and with
the ears heavily they heard, an the eyes of them they closed; lest they see
with the eyes and with the ears hear and with the heart understand and turn
back and I will heal them. 16 But of you blessed the eyes because they see,
and the ears
|
of
you because they hear. 17 truly For I say to you that many prophets and
righteous men desired to see the things which ye see and did not see, and
to hear the things which ye hear and did not hear. 18 ye therefore hear the
parable of the sowing one. 19 Everyone hearing the word of the kingdom and
not understanding come the evil one and seizes the thing having been sown
in the heart of him; this is the word by the way sown, the 20 word And on the
rocky places sown, this is the one the word hearing and immediately with
joy receiving it: 21 but he has not root in himself but short-lived is and
occurring tribulation or persecution on account of the crowd immediately he
is offended. 22 But the word in the thorns sown, this is the one the word
hearing, and the anxiety of the age and the deceit of riches chokes the
word, and unfruitful it becomes. 23 And the word on the good earth sown,
this is the one the word hearing and understanding, who indeed bears
fruit and produces one indeed a hundred, the other sixty, the other
thirty.

11. Proclaims

13:24-35
|
..I will utter
things hidden from the foundation
|
|
13:24
(Then) Another parable he set before them saying: was likened the
kingdom of the heavens to a man sowing good seed in the field of him. 25
But in the to sleep men came of him the enemy and oversowed tares in
between the wheat and went away. 26 But when sprouted the grass and fruit
produced then appeared also the tares. 27 So approaching the slaves of the
housemaster said to him: Lord, not good seed sowedst thou in thy field?
when then has it tares? 28 And he said to them: An enemy man this did. so
the slaves to him say. Willest thou them going away we may collect them? 29
the But says: No lest collecting the tares ye should root up together with
them the wheat 30 Leave to grow together both until the harvest; and in
time of the harvest I will say to the reapers: Collect ye first the ? and
bind them in bundles to
|
burn
them but the wheat gather ye into the barn of me.31 Another parable he set
before them saying: Like is the kingdom of the havens to a grain of
mustard, which taking a man sowed in the field of him: 32 which less indeed
is than all the seeds, but when it grows, greater than the herbs it is and
becomes a tree, so as to come the birds of the heaven and dwell in the
branches of it. 33 another parable he spoke to them: Like is the kingdom of
the heavens to leaven, which taking a woman hid in of meal measures three,
until was leavened the whole. 34 These things all spake Jesus in parables
to the crowds, and without a parable nothing he spoke to them: 35 so that
was fulfilled the things spoken through the prophet saying: I will opening
parables the mouth of me, will utter things having been hidden from the
foundation.

12. Retrieves
|
13:36-52
|
Housemaster -
new and old things
|
|
13:36 Then sending away the crowds he came
into the house, And approached to him the disciples of him saying:
Explain thou to us the parable of the tares of the field. 37 and he
answering said: The one sowing the good seed is the Son of man: 38 and
the field is the world; and the good seed, these are the sons of the
kingdom: and the tares are the sons of the evil one. 39 the and enemy the
one sowing them is the evil; and the harvest the completion of the age
is, and the reapers angels are. 40 As therefore are colleted the tares
and with fire are consumed, thus it will be at the completion of the age:
41 will send forth the Son of man the angels of him and they will collect
out of the kingdom of him all the things leading to sin and the ones
doing lawlessness. 42 and will cast them into the furnace of fire; there
will be the wailing and the gnashing of the teeth. 43 Then the righteous
will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of the Father of them. The one
having ears let him hear. 44 Like is the kingdom
|
of the heavens to treasure having been hidden in the field, which
finding a man hid, and from the joy of him goes and sells what things he
has and buys field that. 45 Again like is the kingdom of the heavens to a
merchant seeking beautiful pearls; 46 and finding one valuable pearl
going away sold all things what he had and bought it. 47 Again like is
the kingdom of the heavens to a net cast into the sea and of every kind
gathering; 48 which when it was filled bringing up onto the shore and
sitting collected the good into vessels, but the bad out cast. 49 Thus it
will be at the completion of the age. will go forth the angels and will
separate the evil men from the midst of the righteous. 50 and will cast
them into the furnace of fire; there will be the wailing and the gnashing
of the teeth. 51 Did ye understand these things all? They say to him: Yes
52 So he said to them: Therefore every scribe made a disciple to the
kingdom of the heavens like is to a man a housemaster who puts forth out
of the treasure of him new and old things.

Not powerful
deeds because of unbelief
|
|
13:53 And it came to pass when ended the Jesus
parables these he removed thence.
(Note: End of sub-section?)
54 And (then) coming into the native town of him
he taught them in the synagogue of them, so as to be astounded them and
to say: Whence to this man wisdom this and the powerful deeds? 55 not this
man is the of the carpenter son? not the
|
mother of him called Mary and the brothers of him James and
Joseph and Joseph and Simon and Judas? 56 and the sisters of him not all
with us are? Whence the to this man these things all? 57 And they were
offended in him But Jesus said to them; not is A prophet unhonoured
except in the native town and in the house of him. 58 And not he did
there powerful deeds many because of the unbelief of them. . . .
