... More
tolerable for Sodom
|
|
11:20 Then he began to
reproach the cities in which happened the very many powerful deeds of him,
because they repented not: 21 Woe to thee Chorazin: woe to thee, Bethsaida;
because if in Tyre and Sidon happened the powerful deeds having happened in
you, long ago in sackcloth and ashes they would have repented. 22 However I
tell you, for Tyre and for Sidon and more tolerable it
|
will be in the day of
judgement than for you. 23 And thou, Capernaum,
not as far as heaven wast thou exalted? as far as hadest thou shalt
descend; because if in Sodom
happened the powerful deeds having happened in thee it would have remained
until today. 24 However I tell you that for the land of Sodom
more tolerable it will be in the day of judgment than for thee.

.. Yoke is easy
|
|
11:25 At that time answering Jesus
said: I give thanks to thee Father, lord of the heaven and of the earth,
because thou hidest these things from wise and intelligent men, and didst
reveal them to infants; 26 yes Father because thus good pleasure it was
before thee. 27 All things to me were delivered by the Father of me, and no
one fully knows the Son except the Father neither the Father
|
anyone fully knows except the
Son and he to whom it will the Son to reveal. 28 Come unto me all the ones
labouring and having been burdened, and I will rest you. 29 Take the yoke
of me on you and learn from me, because meek I am and lowly in heart and ye
will find rest to the souls of you: 30 for the yoke of me gentle and the
burden of me light is.

Nations will hope (c/f cornfields)
|
|
12:1
At that time went the Jesus on the Sabbath through the cornfields; and
the disciples of him hungered, and began to pluck ears of corn and to eat.
2 But the Pharisees seeing said to him: Behold the disciples of thee are
going what not it is lawful to do on a Sabbath. 3 And he said to them: Did
ye not read what did David, when he hungered and the ones with him? 4 how
he entered into the house of God and the loaves of the setting forth ate,
which not lawful it was for him to eat neither the ones with him, except

only? 5 or did ye not read in the law that on the Sabbath's the priests in
the temple the Sabbath profane and guiltless are? 6 And I tell you that the
temple a greater thing is here. 7 But if ye had known what it is: Mercy I
desire and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless. 8 For
Lord is the Sabbath the Son of man. 9

saying:
If it is lawful on the Sabbath to heal? in order that they might accuse
him. 12:11 So he said
to them: What will there be of you man who will have sheep one, and if fall in this on the Sabbath into a
ditch, will he not lay hold if and raise? 12 By how much then surpasses a
man a sheep. so that it is lawful on the Sabbath well to do 13 Then he says
to the man; Stretch forth of thee the hand. And he stretched forth and it
was restored health as the other. 14 and going out the Pharisees counsel
too against him so as him they might destroy. 15 But Jesus knowing departed
thence. And followed him many, and he healed

all, 16 and warned them that not manifest him they should make; 17 that
might be fulfilled the thing spoken through Isaiah the prophet saying: 18
Behold the servant of me whom I chose the beloved of me with whom was well
pleased the soul of me; I will put the spirit of me on him, and judgment to
the nations he will announce. 19 He will not strive nor will shout, nor
will hear anyone in the streets the voice of him. 20 A reed having been
bruised he will not break and flax smoking not he will quench, until he put
forth to victory the judgment. 21 And in the name of him nations will
hope.
